Disable loading remote docs?

I'm using this to perform some JSON-LD normalization, but from the docs I'm unclear on when it might try to implicitly resolve URLs. The examples show passing a URL for the document, but is the default behavior to also look up URLs in the document? Is there a way to disable that?

Docs could be improved about this. There are default document loaders. And you can pass in a documentLoader option, as specified in the JSON-LD API spec, that will do whatever behavior you want. Only static known resources, caching, logging, no fetching, etc.
