Homebrew Launcher Channel still outdated

HBL was updated to 1.5, but the channel is still outdated. Can anyone help with that? Upload an updated HBLC or how do we turn homebrew_launcher.elf into a wup to install?

If I'm not misremembering, the channel just does some setup and then jumps into the elf. Could be wrong though, haven't touched a Wii in ages

It does not. Haxchi got an update and goes into Homebrew Launcher 1.5. But on the Wii U menu, the Homebrew Launcher Channel goes into Homebrew Launcher 2.1 which amazingly is the outdated one because it doesn't support all the alternative control modes. I'm looking into how to turn a .elf app into an installable wup. If anyone knows how already and can do that, please do so and share.

so 1.5 just adds support for alternative control methods, there's also a mod of 2.1 with support for alternative control methods (as you said), and haxchi did not get an update, it's just that haxchi loads HBL straight from the sd card, and Masamune3210 isn't wrong, there was an older version of the homebrew launcher channel that did that, but it was changed and the entire app was packaged instead of a forwarder
