Two observations:

• smj area tags are not properly parsed (all three smj zhfst files are registered as plain smj) - cf also Area variants not recognised #10.
• even in the case of proper parsing/registering (as for nn), there is no visible label in the menu to separate the two variants

Expected:

• each variant clearly labelled, either automatically by the system, or by abusing the vendor string if needed

Environment:

• MacDivvun 1.1.0 (see log in Area variants not recognised #10)
• macOS 10.15.7 (Catalina)

This is more than cosmetic. After a minor bug fix release, at least the default SMJ speller is working, default being the first of the three in the list. But if I switch to any of the two others, spell checking stops working.
