Hi, I’m new to VS Code and I’m having an issue that I don’t understand how to fix.

I installed a plugin that adds stickers/background, and it modified VS Code. After that, I got this warning:

"Your Code installation appears to be corrupt. Please reinstall."

I followed the instruction from the plugin and ran:

  • "Remove Sticker/Background" command
  • Then I closed VS Code and opened it again

However, the problem is still the same. The [Unsupported] / corrupt installation warning still appears, and I also cannot change my theme anymore.

I’m not sure what I did wrong.

What I’ve tried:

  • Removed sticker/background using the provided command
  • Restarted VS Code

Current issue:

  • Warning still appears
  • Unable to change theme

Could someone please help me fix this?
Thank you, and sorry if this is a basic question 🙏
