Run tests / Reference only the managed assemblies the gatherer produced The gatherer globs *.dll out of the benchmark project's output, which also contains the native libraries it depends on. Handing one of those to MSBuild as a <Reference> is what produces warning MSB3246: Resolved file has a bad image, no metadata, or is otherwise inaccessible.
