Hey, I am currently trying to fix an issue (#46811) and the problem is happening with .NET version 7.0. What version should I set .NET to? Also, in the future, where should I ask questions regarding contributions? Should I @ someone if I run into a problem with a specific issue and if so, who? Thank you for any help. This is my first time contributing.

When you mean the target of a PR, so it's the main branch (if the bug wasn't fixed in a release > .NET 7, here the refered issue is still open).

where should I ask questions regarding contributions?

Either file an issue, start a discussion or when you have working code you can create a PR.
There's no need to mention someone explicitley, the team will take over timely.

Hey, thank you for the help.

For that issue, I am a bit stuck as the code works in the sense the user gets the end result, but also gets that error message. What would you recommend I do about the error? Thank you again for the help.

Does the error also occur with .NET 10?

You can share your insights in that issue.
Or when you have a solution, that fixes the issue, then open a PR. But it may be easier to reach out for this in the issue first.

Since some of the packages the user uses is not available for .NET 10, I downgraded to .NET 9.
