Blazor 8 issue hot reload (AutoRender / Global)

Describe the bug

Create a new Blazor Web app with AutoRender Globally

Registered HttpClient and a couple of simple services

Making any change on a razor page where a service is injected breaks hot-reload on save. Clicking on refresh also breaks complaining about no Http/todo service registered.

Expected Behavior

Hot reload should work since the dependencies are registered properly.

@hgirma thanks for reaching out.

Services injected into a component rendered with the InteractiveAuto render mode should be made available both on the server and the client. In the repro you provided, those services are only available on the client. If you register them on the server, the errors you're experiencing should disappear. Could you please try this and let us know if it solves the problem?

@MackinnonBuck that did it! Thank you! It's not very intuitive, but it works as expected when I register the services (including HttpClient) on both Server and Client projects.
