How to design, test and debug MAUI Hybrid App with AI agents?

How to Use AI agent to design, test and debug MAUI Apps? I searched the Internet but get nothing useful. Currently most of the tools are designed for React or Vue(JS/TS) and not for MAUI, like Figma, as well as various front-end development skills.

Yeah this is a real gap right now, MAUI is kind of the odd one out when it comes to AI tooling and it's frustrating because the ecosystem just hasn't caught up yet.
For what it's worth here's what actually works today:
Claude and Copilot are your best friends for the code side of things. They both handle C# and XAML reasonably well, not perfectly, but well enough that you can describe a layout or a component and get something usable back. GitHub Copilot inside Visual Studio is probably the smoothest experience right now specifically for MAUI since it has context about your project files.
For design the honest answer is there's no Figma equivalent for MAUI yet. What most people do is design in Figma anyway and then manually translate to XAML, or use AI to help with that translation step. You describe the layout you want, paste in a screenshot or a Figma export, and ask Claude or GPT4 to convert it to XAML. It's clunky but it works better than nothing.
For testing and debugging Claude Code and Copilot can help you write unit tests for your ViewModels since those are just plain C#. The harder part is UI testing because MAUI's UI testing story with things like Appium is still pretty rough and AI tools don't add much there yet.
The BlazorWebView angle is worth considering if you're open to it. If you go the Hybrid route with Blazor inside MAUI suddenly a lot more AI tooling becomes available to you since it's just HTML and C# at that point.
It's genuinely an underserved area and you're not missing some secret tool that everyone else knows about, it just doesn't really exist yet.

Currently I am using MAUI Hybrid App. It uses csharp for logic and razor pages for frontend. GPT-5.4 works fine, although it is using an older syntax.

However, testing them automatically is impossible and now I have to test them manually. In the JS tech stack, automated testing can be done using Playwright. However, in MAUI I can't find such a tool. Do you have any solutions? Thank you!

By the way, "just HTML and C# at that point" you mentioned confuses me, what does it mean? Could we use an HTML page (instead of a .razor file similar to HTML) in MAUI?
