Broken installation after reboot

Context: I tried to install the .net SDK on my school computer (no admin rights)
Excepted result: Installation working fine
Actual result: Installation working fine, but as soon I reboot, some problems appear, including:

• dotnet command is not recognized
• When I run the script again, the output says that the version is not recognized, resulting in a failure of the update
• I can’t do anything releated to .net
  Specifications:
• OS: Windows 10 21H2
• Last time tried: 2023-11-14
• Architecture: x86_64
• Script version: PowerShell
• PowerShell version: Core 7.3.7

Did you install using the .zip install? Can you ensure that dotnet.exe is on the path (without admin priveleges, you'll have to add that yourself)?

If you installed using the install-dotnet script it clearly states at the end, that you have to add the install location to PATH yourself (it only does that for the active session, but won't modify the machine/user state).

After trying @vitek-karas ’s solution, the installation works fine, even after reboot.
