A Modern Format/ Linting Solution #52287

The .NET space seems to be lacking a modern set of formatting/ linting tools, in the same way JavaScript/ TypeScript have.
I'd love to see something similar to Prettier but for C#. While we have a good solution in CSharpier, because it's highly opinnionated and intentionally steers clear configuration for rules aside a key few, it doesn't work for existing solutions and large teams with existing standards unless you're willing to completely adopt CSharpier's rules.
dotnet format was a good start, but I'd like to see it go further in that it fully understands things like .editorconfig and can integrate with all IDEs and use the same ruleset/ have the same experiece like format on save and can be baked into tooling like git hooks.
