Hard to tell exactly from the screenshot, but generally it looks like C# doesn't see a project loaded. A couple of questions

1. Are you using C# Dev Kit as well, or just the C# extension standalone?
2. If using C# Dev Kit, is the solution explorer showing a loaded solution? If not make sure you open a solution (.NET Open Solution command).
3. Could you attach the C# output window logs (see https://github.com/dotnet/vscode-csharp/blob/main/SUPPORT.md#collecting-general-logs for collecting these)?

I am not very familiar with the Unity development workflow. I recall that the Unity editor is supposed to be configured to generate project file for you scripts.

1. Have you setup VS Code as Unity's external editor according to these instructions?
2. Are you opening these scripts through the Unity UI or have you opened this folder separately?

Yes, I have used VSCODE for a while, but recently VS Code's references are not working.

Thanks for the logs - it looks like the C# server is not receiving the project information from C# Dev Kit. Do you see your project loaded in the solution explorer? Can you also paste the output of the Projects window and C# Dev Kit?

I had the same problem, with my .NET solution in VS Code Insiders.
References were not loading.

I've tried to install newest .NET 9, change paths to where the extension search for dotnet, but nothing worked.

Finally, I downgraded C# Dev Kit to version: 1.16.6 and now it's working.
