[Improvement] Missing darwin artifacts for nydus-image

I don't mind taking a look. For the nydus-image, it seems to be missing from the release.yaml. The nysdusify would be good but see it has archive functions for overlay file system which breaks the darwin build for this binary.

@bencoxford For now, nydus-image does not work on macos. I tried a bit and it failed with xattr errors. Are you tring to build container image on macos?

I manually built the binary of macos which managed to get nydus-image running and I could generate the rafs from OCI tar with no issues. I did encounter more problems with nydusify as that is currently not buildable with macos.

I am trying to take a .tar of OCI image, convert it to nydus image, and back to OCI image (using https://github.com/bazel-contrib/rules_oci). I am not sure this works with just nydus-image though - is this possible?

Hi @bencoxford, can OCI image run on macOS without using a Linux VM? If not supported, then image conversion (by nydusify) support would be meaningless.

Indeed, it is more about having a MacOS native OCI runtime rather than just having the image build part working. E.g., the OCI runtime spec specifies Linux, Windows, Solaris, FreeBSD and zOS, but MacOS is not part of the team JUST YET(TM).

That said, it is possible to use some non-OCI runtime to run the MacOS image, such as gemini cli Seatbelt.

@bencoxford are you looking at something similar? What is your targeting use case?
