Audio track for animation

Is there any plan to implementing an audio track for animation, similar like krita does? This

There's some ideas for it. The main problem with audio is the size and the timing.

The size thing is pretty obvious: audio is pretty large, so adding sound to an animation would bloat the size of sessions and strain server resources.

The bigger problem is that you would almost certainly have timing issues between different devices. Someone on a weak laptop, an Android device, using the browser or simply with a terrible sound driver would end up with a delay in their audio playback. Which is obviously really important, it would just cause infinite amounts of problems with one person hearing the sound one way and another hearing it several frames later, meaning it'd be useless for collaborative animation.

The idea was to add audio locally only, basically by just referencing files you have on your computer, but not sending them to other people. This solves the size problem, since servers wouldn't have to deal with it, and solves the timing issue by letting only one person deal with the timing. They might still end up with wrong timing compared to exporting it, but at least that's going to be a consistent delay that can be fixed by just offsetting the entire animation or audio track by that amount.

I see, also adding audio locally only for referencing is a great idea, so you have to consider it.
