https://htmx.org/examples/ seems like a nice pattern to use with this.

clients get the SSE and then have simple patterns for updating the gui

Here is one with hugo: https://github.com/acaloiaro/hugo-htmx-go-template

It works well and allows a Live Server where the Mark-down turns to HTML, but you can also add forms etc using the htmx.
