bug in chapter header formatting

"List of symbols" is showing up in the left hand header. Need to fix.

The fix is in main.tex

\addcontentsline{toc}{chapter}{\nomname}
% \markboth{\nomname}{\nomname}% maybe with \MakeUppercase

Not sure why we were using \markboth
