I have an ESP32-S3 N8R2 with ёPadio v0.9.720 installed. Everthing works fine until I try to connect to a station broadacsting in FLAC, for example "http://stream.radioparadise.com/flac". I then get the error message:

##ERROR#: ogg not supported
##CLI.META#: Not enough free memory to initialize the decoder: 190084 bytes free

I thought that FLAC is supported on an ESP32-S3 N8R2 (which has 2MB of PSRAM) and should work fine.

PSRAM is enabled and is recognised during boot.

Can anyone suggest what else I need to do to get FLAC decoding working, please?

This work OK with your example station. Supports Opus & Vorbis stations too.

OK, I will give your modified code a try.

However, I notice that you are using an ESP32-S3 N16R8 which has 8MB of PSRAM. Is this the reason that you are able to decode FLAC streams without getting the insufficient memory errors?

Or have you made specific code changes to avoid that memeory error?

Notice that the ESP32 that I am using has only 2MB of PSRAM - will that matter?

2MB psram is sufficient for FLAC.
I use standard ESP32 WROOM module with additional external 4MB PSRAM.

I am not sure if I have specified the myoptions.h configuration correctly, though. For example, I notice that the font that is used to display the time looks odd and the seconds characters are partially covered by the date, as you can see here:

I am using a 3.5" 480*320 TFT module ILI9488 no touch display. Are there any changes I can make to the myoptions.h or somewhere else in the code to fix those display issues?

Is the thin blue line at the bottom an indication of the buffer status?

Is it possible to have "FLAC" displayed instead of just "FLC"?

I use 320x240 TFT, and on my display the seconds are in good position.
I can't confirm layout for 480x320.
Clock seconds can be moved up in "displays/widgets/widgets.cpp at:

Just change 22 to 18 or so (maybe 26, i not remember direction).
As for the clock font, you have the same one as in the software version on which I based my corrections. For 320x240 I must change the font because the oryginal font is too big for 320x240.
Yes, the blue line is buffer status.
The "FLC" string can be changed in the same file in section:

But I don't know about propper centering longer string. It will probably not be centered. To fix this you need additional "dsp.setCursor(...)" command before "dsp.print("FLAC");"

And, if you want change display layout, edit it in "displays/conf/displayILI9488conf_custom.h" file (for ILI9488).
