Description
I think it would be valuable to include a list of HPC systems that use EasyBuild to manage their central software stack. We could host that at https://docs.easybuild.io/systems (similar to https://www.eessi.io/docs/systems).
Let's try and collect an initial overview in this issue, that can then be the basis of an initial list...
To get things started:
EuroHPC sites:
- Jülich Supercomputing Centre in Germany (https://apps.fz-juelich.de/jsc/hps/jusuf/software-modules.html), soon also on JUPITER
- LUMI @ CSC.fi (https://docs.lumi-supercomputer.eu/software/installing/easybuild)
- Karolina at IT4I in Czech Republic (https://docs.it4i.cz/software/tools/easybuild)
- Deucalion at MACCC in Portugal (https://docs.deucalion.macc.fccn.pt/jobs/#software-in-deucalion)
- Vega at IZUM in Slovenia (https://doc.vega.izum.si/modules/)
- MareNostrum 5 at Barcelona Supercomputing Centre in Spain (https://www.bsc.es/supportkc/docs/MareNostrum5/Package%20Managers/Easybuild/)
- MeluXina at LuxProvide in Luxembourg (https://docs.lxp.lu/first-steps/software_env/)
Other European HPC sites:
- Ghent University in Belgium (https://docs.hpc.ugent.be/easybuild)
- Vrije Universiteit Brussel (https://hpc.vub.be/docs/software/modules/)
- Flemish Supercomputer Centre (https://docs.vscentrum.be/software/module_system_basics.html)
- CSCS in Switzerland (https://user.cscs.ch/computing/compilation/easybuild, https://users.ugent.be/~kehoste/eum24/015_eum24_cscs.pdf)
- SURF in The Netherlands (https://servicedesk.surf.nl/wiki/spaces/WIKI/pages/30660266/Software)
Outside of Europe:
- University of Melbourne in Australia (https://dashboard.hpc.unimelb.edu.au/software/modules/)
- Michigan State University in US (https://docs.icer.msu.edu/EasyBuild_Reference/)
- Fred Hutch Cancer Research Centre in Seattle (https://fredhutch.github.io/easybuild-life-sciences/)
- Digital Research Alliance of Canada (ex-Compute Canada), see https://docs.alliancecan.ca/wiki/EasyBuild/en
Other:
- ITER project (https://users.ugent.be/~kehoste/eum21/008_eum21_site_presentation_ITER.pdf)
- Do IT Now (https://www.doitnowgroup.com/)
- INUITS (https://inuits.eu/)
- Microsoft Azure (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/azurehighperformancecomputingblog/running-long-hpc-jobs-on-azure-with-checkpointing-using-lammps-namd-and-gromacs/1335148)
For each entry, we should make sure there's a reference that confirm that they're using EasyBuild, or that the entry is added by a representative of that institution/company.
