Publish a new release of the Go module

As of this writing, the most recent release of the Go module in this repository was version 2.2.0 on 27 June 2023. Since then, we've changed nine files, with 368 additions and 95 deletions.

Can we publish a fresh release of this module, incrementing the minor version to 2.3.0?

A new release would indeed be nice, I ran into a bug this morning that seems to have been patched by MR #157
