Syntax coloring customization for the LSP Editor.

The LSP editor's syntax coloring is distinctly different from the defaults used by the standard CDT editor. Is there any way to make the LSP editor follow the CDT editor or maybe manually configure its own syntax coloring?

The new editor uses TetxMate themes. Currently these themes are not editable, but users can add own themes via the TextMate preferences:

The Eclipse Light theme is very close to the classic CDT editor.
It can be changed via the editor context menu:

@ghentschke I discovered that I could add my own Dark_editted.css file by downloading/duplicating the original. But it has a ton of options and it's not clear to me which impact C++ code, and in what way. For example, I'd like to make user-defined types (classes, typedef, using) appear in a different color than the variable name.

class A {};
using B = A;

A var1;
B var2;

In the example above, A var1 and B var1 all appear in the same color. Is there a setting in the CSS file to change the color of A and B? I've attempted to change several options but haven't been able to make this work. I've tried changing:

• .storage
• .storage.type
• .storage.modifier
• .variable.language
• .support.class
• .support.type
• .entity.name.type

I scanned through source on the TextMate repository as well as searched through the issues here and documentation for the LSP project, but haven't found anything that explained each of these options as they pertain to C++ source files.

Thanks, I checked with a few AI tools and haven't pinned down a solution. I'll keep poking around.

Well, I duplicated the Dark.css file and changed every entry to rgb(0, 0, 255) and that didn't work so clearly there is some option either missing or not available. The entire editor screen changed to blue.. background and all: blue background, blue text, blue operators, etc.

The only things that didn't change were:

• Compiler macros/defines
• Variable types defined through aliases
• Function arguments
• Semi-colons and commas

So at least I can say there is not an option currently available in the Dark.css file that will impact this from what I can tell.

In case it helps folks, I editted/added the following to the default Dark.css through trial-and-error and this has provided some additional customization that I wanted:

.class { color: rgb(216,150,150); font-style: italic}    /** reference type **/
.type { color: rgb(216,150,150); }                       /** non-reference type **/

Nevermind.. the above specifications definitely change something, but I clearly haven't fully reverse-engineered what exactly they do. I have some header files where the comments appear to be colored by the .class definition above. If I can figure out how to customize the syntax coloring I'll update.
