Why is CMake's target selection field named "Build all target"?

Surely this should just be "Build target" instead of "Build all target" as it just sets the --target flag for CMake... ? Calling it the "all target" is a misnomer as by very definition, if you are specifying the build target to be anything other than "all" you are not building the all target...

This "Build all target" option was added in #1046
Mr. @betamaxbandit did add some info though the comments

Add all target for the argument passed to cmake's --target command line when doing a normal build.

I don't fully understand the background of this change.
Mr. @betamaxbandit , could you provide more info on this matter?

... it also prompted me to do some further testing of what is supported in the Build target control. I found it did not support multiple arguments so I created this issue:

This might be a good ticket to work on if anyone is interested in starting to contribute patches to CDT; always gratefully received whatever the person's experience. And plenty of hand-holding is available from our friendly committers.
