Claude Code - Favorite Settings

Quick-copy settings for ~/.claude/settings.json (or project-level .claude/settings.json).

Stop the auto-attribution clutter

Context window status line

Shows context usage percentage, token count, and percentage of 150k tokens used.

Opus for planning, Sonnet for execution

Uses Opus while you're in plan mode — where the deep reasoning matters most — then automatically switches to Sonnet for execution once you exit plan mode. No manual switching required. Equivalent to claude --model opusplan.

Auto-allow common tools & commands

Safe defaults for non-isolated local use. Commands that are read-only or only affect local state. Anything touching remotes, installing packages, or running arbitrary code stays prompted.

Already auto-allowed by Claude Code (no config needed): ls, cat, echo, pwd, head, tail, grep, find, wc, which, diff, stat, du, cd, and read-only git operations (git status, git log, git diff).
