Data Discrepency

Hi Team,
I am looking at the data from the api and am coming up with random data discrepencies. Right now i am opening issues here, if there is a different approach i should follow please suggest.

Today I was looking at maintainers data

https://packages.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/registries/pypi.org/maintainers/wizardforcel/packages has 10k packages in its name but the url's dont open.

https://pypi.org/user/wizardforcel has nothing published
https://packages.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/registries/pypi.org/maintainers/wizardforcel
has attributes

"packages_count": 10627,  
"total_downloads": 62791,

it could be stale data

  "created_at": "2022-11-14T22:15:00.231Z",
  "updated_at": "2024-03-06T02:47:39.831Z",

I did found https://www.npmjs.com/~wizardforcel however
https://packages.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/registries/npmjs.org/maintainers/wizardforcel also has a massive count mismatch.

Is this data discrepency or some logical mismatch.

Interesting, I wonder if this is because packages have been removed? It looks like they were synced for quite a while. However, I looked one up on a pypi deleted packages site (https://dashboard.stablebuild.com/pypi-deleted-packages/pkg/azure-arc-kubernetes-he-fuwuqi-jiaocheng-jifan) and there's nothing there either.

@andrew, how do we deal with packages that have been completely removed?
