Community Validator Guide

Community validators play a crucial role in EcoTask by verifying that tasks have been completed correctly.

Becoming a Validator

  1. Build a reputation by completing tasks successfully
  2. Apply for validator status through the platform
  3. Undergo a brief training on verification standards

Verification Process

When a user submits proof:

  1. Auto-checks run first (GPS zone, photo analysis, expiry check)
  2. Validators review the proof and either approve or reject

Review Criteria

Approved

  • Photo clearly shows the task being completed
  • GPS coordinates match the task area
  • Photo timestamp is within the task's active period

Rejected

  • Photo is blurry or unrelated
  • GPS location is outside the task zone
  • Evidence of duplicate submission
  • Photo appears to be stock imagery or AI-generated

Validator Rewards

Validators earn a small fee from each proof they verify. The exact amount depends on task complexity and validator tier.

Ethics

  • Be fair and consistent in your reviews
  • Do not collude with submitters
  • Report suspicious activity to platform admins
