[FEATURE] Add button for connection/authentification check

Would it be possible to add a button to check the connection (IP) and authentication?

I entered my credentials wrong and had to search in the logs to find the reason for it.

@caco3 this is something I would really like to implement, but that would require some frontend (Javascript?) development which really isn't my cup of tea.
If there's anyone willing to help me out with this, please let me know!
