[Question] Is this project abandoned?

I am asking this cause, the last commit was 9 months ago and the release was over a year ago. And its has some pretty unusable bugs that need workarounds with customUser.css. There is also a PR has been sitting there since January without any activity, and the repo owner rarely interacts with PR or bug reports.

I know this kind of project is not easy to maintain, but seeing no progression or feedback is making me think whether the project is still actively maintained or if development has effectively stopped.

It would be nice to know whether I should start looking for alternatives or keep waiting for updates.

I've been using the theme for a while, and yes, it's a bit of a pain to fix breaking changes (especially as I run Firefox Nightly), but overall it's been okay.

I've got a fork I maintain, that contains a few opinionated changes, but here's my custom.css that fixes most issues:

I also use a patched version of Proton Chrome Light Theme , which had issues with FF149.

Seems to work okay.

@joshuataylor Thanks it fixed few of the issues, tho a lot of stuff new tabs is broken. I will probably have fix these myself. But I really wish this project doesn’t end up abandoned.

Ah yeah, I have that fixed in my fork, if I have some time tonight I'll clean it up and make it public.

I actively use the theme/fixes, it's my main browser.

Mine is maintained as well. TONS of customization, it's not been fixed for vertical tab use or split-view yet though. It's mostly personal to me but feel free to try it out.

As an aside, I see you're using bitwarden, I had horrid performance using that extension on firefox, so much so that i switched to Proton Pass, problems were solved.

Yeah, I have mixed feelings about Bitwarden ever since the absolutely shockingly bad redesign of the Bitwarden UI, but the nice thing is I can run it myself (Vaultwarden, though I pay for it to help development, which I'm debating on stopping).

Password Managers in general seem to be a bit bad in Firefox, e.g 1Password (work) I had severe issues. 🤷

FYI, I've got some fixes that I have in my personal custom.css, that I won't push up, as they are opinionated/not what everyone wants.

I find the font size on macOS to be tiny, so I've increased it in a few places.

I also remove the stupid HTTP insecure lock icon.

Everything else though, IMHO should be included.

Anyway, here's what I set for Firefox Nightly 155.0a1 (2026-07-23) (aarch64):
