How shall we display extended descriptions?

The DAISY TIES group is experimenting with a new POC about how to author extended descriptions using aria-detail argument to identify the link pointing to an Aside containing the extended description. This Aside could be at the end of the chapter or at the end of the ebook.

The purpose of this mechanism for identifying extended image descriptions is to allow reading systems to offer a user experience similar to what was possible with the footnote attribute.

Although this is still just a POC, it is good to think about how we could leverage this proposal to provide an interesting behaviour.
