Alcatel Switch Support: SNMP Monitoring & Config Backup (FTP/SFTP/SCP)

Hi,

Do you have any plans to support Alcatel switches (OmniSwitch series, etc.) in RouterFleet?
We’d be interested in helping add support for:

• Basic monitoring via SNMP (which works well on Alcatel switches)

• Automated config backups (they support FTP, SFTP, and SCP for config transfer)

If this isn’t planned yet, would you be open to collaborating on this feature?

I do intend to add other router brands to routerfleet.
At this moment, my main issue is with future updates and tests.

I still plan to add extra features in management for routerfleet, and still need to find a proper way to keep supporting all the brands that I add.

The main issue, is that I don't have those routers available for testing. Even if I have a brief access to add support, I can't just test new updates and/or add new features.

Hi! I’m going back through previous feature requests and wanted to follow up on this device.

To keep things organized, I’ve documented the process and requirements for adding support to new platforms in Discussion #85.

If you’re still interested in having this device supported and you happen to have access to at least one unit that could be used for testing, please let me know.
