Async Communication For workflow

The system relies on async communication. But sometime async can create inconsistency in the system.
For example:

• If a user applies for a trade license the system performs the following steps :

1. Initiate workflow
2. Save trade license in the system.
3. Notify the user.
   But due to any reason if the workflow could not be persisted in the system then there is no fallback /reverting the steps policy and neither user gets a notification for failure in the system.

• While settling online payment it updates collection tables in sync mode but demand tables do not get updated in an async mode which may create inconsistency in the system.
