Accepting DD/Cheque as a mode of payment

Currently, the system has the provision to collect DD/Cheque as a mode of payment, and on a collection of such payment, the system workflow moves to the next step. But what if ULB is unable to encash DD/Cheque?
It would be better if we treat these options as online payment settlement ( Workflow should be moved only after settlement of DD/cheque )
