Travis badge should be removed

Description

Travis will not correctly show the status for commits on a branch. It seems unable to separate branches and it also takes pull requests into account. There is an 8 year old issue here: travis-ci/travis-ci#655. It also can't show you builds filtered by branch or a way to show lastest build on a branch. This 5 year old issue here is concerning the landing page travis-ci/travis-ci#502. These issues have existed for years.

So, my suggestion is to remove the travis badge altogether.

Motivation

The badge is very bugged and there seems to be little interest from the Travis devs to fix this after many years of knowing these flaws.
