Not seeing the yaml path echo as seen on demo

Running neovim 0.11.0ubuntu1+git202508130036-fece489794-545c88c787-b898809ed0ubuntu24.04.1.

Installed with Lazy vim:

{ 'Einenlum/yaml-revealer' },

After installing I expected to see the YAML path in the status line.
Is this something that needs to be explicitly enabled?

Thanks, for your comment! It's not a dumb question at all.
Seems like neovim hides echo messages very quickly.
I have updated the plugin so that you can use virtual lines or print them in your status line.

Please update the plugin and follow the new recommendations in the README file.
Let me know if it works for you :)

That worked. Thank you.
However I noticed that it's 100% persistent now, even when I change to a non-yaml file.
I'm wondering if this will interfere with other status messages.
Or would this only overwrite a prior status message if one moves to a new line within a yaml file?

Did you add the ft option when installing it?

Yes, it uses the virtual line feature of neovim. Do you use a status line plugin? Then you can use the status line feature as displayed on the readme 🙂
