base_endpoint should accept protocol #29
Description
App search allows you to copy a base_url. This includes the protocol e.g.
https://6ddbb728b5014a0eb2bc89a469246231.app-search.us-central1.gcp.cloud.es.io
Other app search clients allow you to use this as the base_url. Having to provide it without https:// seems like a common hurdle users will hit.
