Disable Color Logging by Default

Problem Description

When running the elastic-connectors Docker image, it logs with color enabled. This causes issues when something like Filebeat collects the logs, because it includes the special characters that make color logging possible

Proposed Solution

Disable coloring logging by default (at least for the container)

Alternatives

Provide documentation on how to disable color logging.

Hi @BenB196 - thanks for filing!

If you want to remove colors from a fork, this would be the line to edit:

connectors/connectors/logger.py

Line 65 in 81e7eaf

self._style._fmt = self.COLORS[record.levelno] + self.custom_format + self.RESET

Just deleting

self.COLORS[record.levelno] +

should do the trick.

Alternatively, you should be able to use a Script or Grok processor on the output of Filebeat to strip the control characters.
