Description

Description

What: A new xpack.productDocBase.artifactRepositoryProxyUrl setting has been added to kibana.yml. This setting allows Kibana to reach the artifact repository (xpack.productDocBase.artifactRepositoryUrl) through an HTTP proxy when installing AI Assistant knowledge base content (Elastic documentation and Security Labs).

Where: This is a kibana.yml configuration setting relevant to the AI Assistant / GenAI Settings page (AI Agent (Beta) section). It affects the install workflow for Elastic documentation and Security Labs content used by the AI Assistant.

When: This ships in 9.4.0.

Why: Some environments require HTTP proxy access to reach external artifact repositories. Without this setting, users behind a proxy cannot install the AI Assistant knowledge base content.
