Electrik Commercial License

Version 1.0

Copyright (c) 2025 Neeraj Kumar

  1. Grant of License

Subject to the terms of this Commercial License and payment of the applicable license fee, the Licensor grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use, modify, and deploy the Licensed Work (“Electrik”) for commercial purposes.

Commercial purposes include, but are not limited to:

  • Use by a company or organization
  • Client, freelance, consulting, or agency work
  • Internal business tools
  • Commercial products or services
  • SaaS applications
  • Any use as part of paid employment or professional services
  1. Scope of License

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, this Commercial License grants the right to:

  • Use Electrik in one or more commercial projects owned or operated by you
  • Deploy Electrik in production environments
  • Modify Electrik for your internal or commercial needs
  • Use Electrik as part of client or company deliverables

This license does NOT grant the right to:

  • Redistribute Electrik as a standalone product
  • Sell, sublicense, or repackage Electrik itself
  • Offer Electrik as a competing product or starter kit
  1. Relationship to Community License

This Commercial License supersedes the Business Source License (BSL) for the Licensed Work solely for the licensed commercial use.

All non-commercial uses remain governed by the BSL Community License.

  1. Ownership

Electrik and all associated intellectual property rights remain the exclusive property of the Licensor.

This Commercial License grants usage rights only and does not transfer ownership.

  1. Support and Maintenance

Unless explicitly stated otherwise at the time of purchase:

  • Support is provided on a best-effort basis
  • No guaranteed response times or SLAs are included
  • Updates are included for the license term, if applicable
  1. Term and Termination

This Commercial License is effective upon payment and remains valid according to the terms agreed at purchase.

The Licensor may terminate this license if you materially breach its terms. Upon termination, all commercial use of the Licensed Work must cease.

  1. Warranty Disclaimer

THE LICENSED WORK IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

  1. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LICENSOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE LICENSED WORK OR ITS USE.

  1. Governing Law

This Commercial License shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
