What would you like to do?
I would like to be able to completely hide chats from spaces from the chat homepage so I only see direct messages and groups not from spaces there. Like on Element Desktop.
Why would you like to do it?
I use Matrix Discord to bridge my Discord account to Matrix. But my chat homepage gets cluttered with chats from many different bridged servers. This is annoying since it makes finding DMs really hard and servers/spaces don't have anything to do with my chats.
This also applies to community spaces I joined, of course.
How would you like to achieve it?
I would like to be able to toggle this in the settings. Some people might find this useful, I definitely do not.
I know there is also the filter bar at the top, but filtering there is not persistent after restarting the app.
Also, when filtering there, it prominently shows it by giving the filtered option a white background. So even if this would be persistent, it would not look as sleek when having a default eye catcher at the top.
Have you considered any alternatives?

Mautrix also bridges Discord DMs. They get shown in the DM list on Desktop and they should be shown there too in the Android. But I think this is not a big problem as they already still get shown even if you filter for "People". Although they are technically group chats with dummy accounts from the bridge/the Discord Space by the bridge.
