Smoother slide animation

Problem

currently it seems to be not-so-smooth (ever so slight) left-right scrolling animation

Proposal

perhaps it needs port to Gtk4 to take advantage of super-smooth (kinetic) animation with some nice easing curve like IN_OUT_QUAD to give it a little bouncy touch?
