Steps to Reproduce

1. Search for any filename that will bring a lot of results. Searching for "file" in my home folder worked for me.
2. Keep pressing "More results".

Expected Behavior

Search results shouldn't be added to a never-ending dropdown menu. Eventually, it makes them inaccessible.

What if we replace the "More results" action with a link to a dedicated page where all search results can safely be displayed? Maybe only when the list is long enough.

Maybe related to #2676 and the related Gala issue. This has been fixed in Gala but it looks like that fix did not get into v8.4.0

That bug is about the secondary-click menu, which must be fixed because I can no longer reproduce it.

The search results menu still renders below the dock.

Ah, OK. Not sure it can be fixed in Files though, I'll look into it.
