Windows switcher gesture overshoot

What Happened?

Set up a three finger swipe for windows switcher.
In initial OS 8 I recall it worked from edge to edge, i.e. I could swipe from left to the right edge or backwards, but swiping too much to one side didn't result in selecting an app from the other side.
So if I had three apps, let's say Files, Terminal, Code, then swiping right I could select Terminal or Code, and when I reached past Code, the selection didn't jump to Files again, but "bumped into a wall". This was a lot easier to use, especially with only 2 apps opened, especially since the sensitivity of the gesture feels way too high and it's almost impossible to easily switch to the previous app.

Steps to Reproduce

Set up the window switcher to a touchpad gesture and use it

Expected Behavior

Swiping to the edge of the switcher shouldn't move the selection to the other side (probably using keyboard shortcuts it should still work like before).
And I'm not sure if there is something we could do with sensitivity/speed, it's possible it would be fine with the above change

IMO we should keep the wrap around behavior but reduce sensitivity. I think not wrapping around only improves the case where you want to select the last window whereas reducing sensitivity improves all cases.
Also wrapping around allows to immediately select the last window which is probably quite useful.
One problem that is caused by reducing sensitivity is the number of windows you can select. I.e. if you have many windows you might not be able to reach the last one. Though this is also being helped by wrapping around which pretty much doubles your range (you can either go left or right). Also since we are not limited to 100% anymore with the new touchpad backend this is less of a problem since you now can use the whole touchpad width.
I'll have to admit though that I don't really use the window switcher with gestures so I'm fine with anything others decide since both are pretty easy to implement :)

You have a point that disabling wrapping around only helps when selecting the last window, but that also means that the case where the sensitivity was percievably the biggest problem (having only two or three windows open) could be solved that way.
I wasn't sure if there really is a need for reducing sensitivity especially with many windows open, but probably it makes sense. I think your suggestion would be perfect too after all
