First impressions videos aren't usually terribly useful, but you should do it anyways 🤷🏻♀️ Computer operating systems are really complicated tools; they take time to learn, and it takes time to unlearn habits formed on previous platforms. What we can learn most from a first impression is how much alike it is to what you were previously using, which I don't personally find super useful information because elementary OS does a lot of things that are very different from Windows or macOS and that's intentional. I think more high quality feedback would probably take a week or a month of usage to really find out what is still a pain point, what was easy to learn, what was hard to learn, what you hated at first but ended up loving, etc. But if you have the time and the will to make a first impressions video, I think you should still do it. It might still be interesting :) |

I hope I'm opening this at the right place!
I'm interested in trying elementaryOS, and I'd like to provide help where I can. Since elementaryOS seems to care a lot about user experience and intuitivity (🎉), I've had the idea of recording my installation and first impression of the OS, to see what are its strengths and weaknesses.
My experience alone may not be representative of all experiences, but at least it could provide idea for improvements, and show which problems are the most visible to an inexperienced user.
Would that be useful for the project?
