When external display is connected, if laptop lid is closed then opened again, built-in display does not turn back on #404
Description
What Happened?
When external display is connected to laptop, if the laptop lid is closed then opened again, the built-in display will remain off until the laptop goes to sleep or is shutdown/restarted.
Steps to Reproduce
- Connect external display to laptop
- Close laptop lid so that only external display is being used
- Open laptop lid
- You'll see that the built-in display does not turn back on
I've encountered this issue both on OS 7 (with latest updates) and OS 8.
Expected Behavior
The built-in display should turn back on when the laptop lid is opened after being closed.
