Description
What Happened?
I experience a significant FPS drop when running games on my Wayland session, typically ranging between 10 to 80 FPS. This issue does not occur when using the X11 (classic) session, which performs perfectly.
The same hardware works fine with Wayland on other distributions like Fedora, suggesting this might be a specific issue with the Pantheon desktop environment or a misconfiguration on my end. I have tested with the latest NVIDIA drivers (580 open, 580, and 570), but the problem persists.

The only significant change I made to the system was installing the NVIDIA drivers using the firmware tool. I've included a demo showcasing this issue, but it occurs in all games—including native Linux titles and those running through Proton. I also apply all the updates available for both system updates and store updates for the apps.
Steps to Reproduce
On the Wayland session (secure session), open any game — whether it's a native binary or uses the Proton translation layer, same FPS drop.
Expected Behavior
The expected behavior is consistent FPS performance across both X11 and Wayland sessions on the same hardware.
