AI-Simone and AI-Michael will create a spread sheet for Xen
- Simone and Michael will sync.
- Simone starts working on it. Considers to take a 2nd sheet for Yocto.
- Plan is to present the status during the ELISA Workshop in November for community discussions.
- Make a 30% review and compare Xen with Yocto during next meeting
- AI-Wendi will create a spread sheet for LLVM
- AI-Daniel W. and AI-Ivan will create a spread sheet for Linux
- AI-Nicole will create a spread sheet for Zephyr (later probably due to BW issues)
- **AI-Philipp: Review the sheets "Practices" and "Common themes" and provide feedback to Wendi.
- Added comments.
- Will go through another round.
- AI-Philipp: Check with Paul where "definition of Quality" in OSEP-WG is leading to.
-
AI: Put maturity level in the spreadsheet.
- For details see meeting minutes: https://github.com/elisa-tech/lighthouse-oss/wiki/Meeting-October-24th-2025
- Wendi did an update and added [Maturity scale (proposed)] sheet to the template
- Check on mailing list, if someone has conflict when we stay on 12:00 UTC (= 13:00 CET & 14:00 CEST)
- Philipp to create a nuudel poll to check for availability during Friday morning up to 13:00 UTC
- Next meeting on Nov 21st cancelled due to ELISA WS travel.
- nothing specific. Will be a good base for discussions during workshop.
- Template for filling: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jR0oGQpwJTdThJAOtWP70GrdWSz7K-ol84j5BWX2h8g
- Hypothesis to check: Does the selection of a "strong copy left" or "permissive license" can impact the quality of the open source project?
- Brainstorming session: What do we do once we fully filled a sheet. How to give an overall picture as maturity scale? Derived KPIs?
- CHAOSS (taken from Discord channel)
- First look, but not in detail.
- Lots of metrics. Also different frameworks.
- Bitergia is also heavily involved in it.
- Need to look into it in more detail. (Matches also Wendi's proposal)
- openSSF may even have higher overlap with their openSSF Scorecards. https://openssf.org/projects/scorecard/
- Example on Zephyr: https://insights.linuxfoundation.org/project/zep?timeRange=past365days&start=2024-11-07&end=2025-11-07
- Link for automated tooling and calculation: https://github.com/ossf/scorecard
- Consider to join of there events and present about our work.
- Work by Wendi. Some new worksheets added for consideration, review, correction, etc.
- Maturity scale (proposed)
- Guideline (proposed)
- Template (with dropdown menus included for values)
- It is good to differentiate the process and the evidence. So split the two dimensions is a good idea.
- Safety Critical Open Source was rejected by FOSDEM
- 137 devroom proposals were received. Some devrooms were put together, some were reduced to half day.
- single project proposals were typically not accepted, exceptions exist.
- prepare a dedicated proposal on the lighthouse-sig for main track (CfP deadline: 16th November) and devroom.
- Devrooms could be:
- SBOMS and supply chains
-
Security - CfP open until Dec 1st.
- Lighthouse
- Further option: Security vs. Safety - The same and completely different
- **Next meeting skipped due to ELISA WS travel. **
