Kate Stewart
Short Personal Bio
Kate Stewart works with the safety, security and license compliance communities to advance the adoption of best practices into embedded open source projects. Since joining The Linux Foundation, she has launched the Zephyr and ELISA Projects, as well as supporting other embedded open source projects. With more than 30 years of experience in the software industry, she has held a variety of roles in software development and management, primarily in the embedded ecosystem working with international teams.
Short Personal Pitch
Kate has been involved in the ELISA project since the beginning and was co-chair for the Medical Systems Working group. She's active in the Architecture and Systems working groups. She and Nicole co-chair the evolution of the Safety Profile work in SPDX, and are working towards having enough infrastructure to automate the safety use cases, with help from ELISA project's like BASIL. Kate has been working with Ramon to form a Space Grade Linux initiative, that will be spinning out of the ELISA project.
