Back/Cancel input not working in Room 312

(I apologize if I've reported this before.)

In Room 312 of the Lakeview Hotel, before using the Videotape item, the use of the O (PlayStation) or B (Xbox) controller button is disabled. I believe this is related to the flashlight no longer working from this point on, though it does work if James steps back outside without using the Videotape.

The problem is if I am in the wrong position to use the Videotape, I can't back out of the inventory without using the Esc key. Same goes for the pause and save menus. The controller is incapable of exiting these menus but only in this room both before and after using the Videotape.

This isn't normal behavior with our project.

I've only ever experienced this issue once (a while back) and could not figure out how to constantly replicate it. Can you? If so, what steps are involved to make the issue happen? Without being able to readily replicate it, we unfortunately cannot remedy a fix.

I'm doing some tests. I've only ever noticed it when playing the entire Hotel level, usually after doing a full playthrough in one sitting. If I save in Room 312 and then load, the O button works again.

I'm fairly certain it's related to depositing the flashlight in the locker for the weight-restricted elevator since this is the only thing I can think of that causes the flashlight to be disabled in the Hotel before entering Room 312.

I will report back if I find a consistent trigger.
