QST Support - Some questions for qst-docker

Hi, we at QST were wondering if this projects instructions are still working?
If so, can we add a link to this from QST at sourceforge.net?
Users have expressed an interest in using docker for QST, but we have little experience with it, as we focus on adding features to QST.

In regards to the database, linux and mac versions of QST use a socket to connect to the database, not a port (for security reasons) , therefore the database has to be on the same machine as QST and does not use any authentication as it is all localhost. We think that is the issue you ran into?

Hi @bobb34 - thank you for reaching out. This project still works. Last time I deployed a new instance of QST with this project was only a couple days ago. I would be more than happy to have you guys include a link to this repo for people who are interested in hosting QST via Docker.

Ah, that explains it. My current setup uses a separate database container. I will see if I can make it a single container.

Should add a correction,socket uses authentication, but not encryption.
