After a small Twitter thread with Shao. I started to question the idea that Xlog has an editor built in.
I found some issues with supporting the editor:
Does it make sense to have the editor built in Xlog at all? Anything other than Notion level editor wouldn't be sufficient
Issues with removing the editor:
$EDITOR filename.mdto invoke the default editor? if the default editor isvimor any terminal app, should xlog launch a new terminal? for me that's not a problem as I use emacsclient which signals the currently running emacs to open the file, but not all editors works that wayBeta Was this translation helpful?
