Search for apps by hexpansion VID/PID

If we could search for apps by the VID/PID pair for Hexpansions, we could make it easier to create app-store based driver apps (for example, when the necessary app is too big for a hexpansion), or to discover 3rd party apps for a given hexpansion.

I'd be happy to do this, where are the vid/pid pairs for apps stored currently? Should the mapping source of truth be the app store or is there already somewhere good for it?
