WebFlasher - "Failed to execute 'open' on 'SerialPort': Failed to open serial port." #225

Context
Tried re-flashing my badge as I am also impacted by issue 206 (HTTP Error) having seen the recent release notes for the firmware mentioning the fixes being applied.
Followed the instructions on the webflasher however I get the following message after selecting my badge:
"Failed to execute 'open' on 'SerialPort': Failed to open serial port."
I am pressing and holding BOOP while inserting the cable, the screen lights up dimly with no display and red light signals power, then i give it a second (still holding boop) while pressing connect and selecting my badge (thats displayed as per the step by step) but always get the above error.
