Is egui planning to include the support of Android and IOS?

If that is the plan, when can we expect the first relase of supporting Android and IOS coming out? Thanks.

@gitlarky take a look at https://github.com/rust-windowing/android-ndk-rs. if you combine egui + wgpu + winit + android-ndk-rs the demo_lib runs on android.

@inferrna I got your code working but it looks like it relies on egui_wgpu_backend instead of egui-wgpu and afaict there are quite a few changes between those two.

Would be great if we could get android working in eframe.

wgpu doesn't seem to work on my intel hd graphics on my laptop, so I'm using eframe + glow for web+desktop and egui_wgpu_backend for android. really messy but works for now I guess.

Both iOS and Android work with eframe now, and has a CI job to check that they compile.

are there any up to date instructions for building on android? i have just a hello world app created using the template and looking to create an apk.

EDIT: https://github.com/inferrna/hello_world_android_egui works with x build --device <id>, but the added boilerplate does not look ideal and the apk is 151 MB which is also not ideal. Hopefully, someday this would be improved.

@xvbcfj try to build it in release mode. I have added strip = "debuginfo" for this profile. Now it just about 5MB.
